The HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 5 (G5) Server is designed for standard performance applications that require high availability and redundancy. With its hot plug fans and power supplies, it delivers high system availability where the number of unplanned downtimes due to hardware failures is minimized.

With one (1) state-of-the-art Dual-Core Intel Xeon 5130 Processor (2.0 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 65 W, 1333 FSB) and two (2), 512 MB PC2 5300 fully buffered DIMMs (DDR2 667), it provides the performance and scalability for the requirements of a VIDOS Server or a VIDOS-NVR standard environment. In addition, the server is protected by HP Services, including a 3–year standard warranty (NBD). The server comes in a 2U, 19-in. rack mount version with a quick-deploy rail system, including sliding universal rails. The rack mount version allows access to all system components for easy in-rack serviceability.

The system provides one (1) internal 72 GB (10 K, SAS 2.5 in.) hot-pluggable hard drive for the operating system, as well as four (4) additional internal 146 GB (10 K SAS 2.5 in.) hard drives to store the video data. In addition, the video storage is RAID 0. Please note that RAID 0 is not hotswappable and that this server system cannot be attached to an external SCSI RAID.
