The HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 5 (G5) Server is designed for high-performance applications that require high availability and redundancy. With its hot plug fans and power supplies and a RAID controller, providing internal RAID-1 operating system protection.

With one (1) state-of-the-art dual-core Intel Xeon Processor 5150 (2.67 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 65 W, 1333 FSB) and two (2), 1 GB PC2-5300 fully buffered DIMMs (DDR2-667), it provides the performance, scalability, and support for memory-demanding applications such as the Bosch Video Management System Central Server implementations in medium-sized environments, as well as for high performance Bosch Video Management System-NVR installations. In addition, the server is protected by HP Services, including a 3–year standard warranty (NBD).

The server comes in a 2U, 19-in. rack mount version with a quick deploy rail system, including sliding universal rails. The rack mount version allows access to all system components for easy in-rack serviceability.

With the single-channel U320 SCSI Host Bus Adapter, external SCSI storage arrays, (like the BOSCH DVA range of SCSI storage arrays) may be connected to the server to provide for high capacity data storage.
